Inspiring Imagination
There are few pleasures in the world as great to me as reading. As a child, I read voraciously, and without limits—I read about Greek Mythology, and biographies of great men and women, and Japanese Folk Tales, and about Lost Treasures of the Incas, and Fairy Tales, all with equal fervor. I traveled to other worlds with Charles Wallace Murray, and grew up alongside Taran Wanderer. I learned about Robot Detectives, and Magic Swords, and Time Machines. But most importantly, I learned that we live in a world without limits. And that's the most important lesson of all.—James A. Owen, The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series

Three boxes of buddies, a box of books, a box of Highlights, and a partridge in a pear tree!! Our boxes arrived today. That story book about the moon is beautiful! I know our families will love this. We're going to add a note encouraging parents to share the story and some reading time with their child. Thanks again for helping us to help our young learners to love reading. Kids need to read!!!

Please accept this small contribution toward your very important work as a thank you for sending books to Flint, MI. I attended Flint Community Schools as a small child in the 1970s and the best part of every week was picking out a new book or two every Monday afternoon. From Our Shelves to Yours
We received the books yesterday. Thank you so much for your generous donation. The kids are thrilled. I can't even begin to say how blessed my students and I feel by your kindness. The books are beautiful and we are looking forward to reading all of them.
One of my reluctant readers (who has NEVER read a book independently) read [Go, Dog. Go!] yesterday. Another student (a fan of Dr. Seuss) was thrilled to find Dr. Seuss books in the classroom library to read after he finished his writing. A third student who was having a difficult day was able to turn his day around by helping to unpack the box of books and place them on the shelf. Students in the resource room will truly enjoy reading these books in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
