KNTR Kids' Book Reviews Program
Children are natural story-tellers, and natural artists. They don't need to be told how to write or draw; they have a talent and a passion for it. Everyone knows Kids Need to Read purchases books for schools and libraries to ensure that children have new and exciting material to read. However, KNTR also takes its commitment to foster a love of reading in all children very seriously. One of the ways KNTR does this is to encourage book reviews from the kids who have been the recipients of our book donations. In return, we will publish their reviews on our website, as well as give each reviewer a KNTR button and bookmark. We do not limit ourselves to giving books; we want to encourage the kids to read and enjoy them!
All children who have read any of the books on our Official Donation Book List are welcome to participate. We especially hope teachers and librarians working with KNTR will encourage their students to take part, so they will learn how to look for positive life lessons and get the most out of any book they read.
Each review should contain the following information:
Title of Book
Author's Name
Short Description of Story (What was the book about? Please write three to four sentences.)
Review of Book (Students should include information regarding what they enjoyed about the book and if it affected their views on life in a positive way. Please write four to five sentences.)*
Who might enjoy this book?
Reviewer Name and Age (Please only submit first name of reviewer.)
Name of School
City and State
Country (if other than the United States)
* Please note that negative reactions to specific parts of the books are acceptable, but overtly negative reviews or harsh language will not be published on the Kids Need to Read website. Please encourage the kids to approach reading in a positive spirit.
