What I did on my Hypergalactic Interstellar Summer Vacation
by Adam Beechen & Dan Hipp

A Book Review by Tuguldur

It was summer vacation and when Teddy got picked up, he saw a space flight go into the air. When Teddy came home, he wanted to go to space. Prince Al'ak from space wanted to go to space and a different planet, so they were feeling the same.

Then Teddy saw another space craft go into space. He figures out that they were going to Prince Al'ak's planet.

Then later, Teddy finds a red crystal from space. It is some kind of rock that was sent from Pen'ok because they were having a war.

I think the book was about Teddy and Prince Al'ak, and about how they had the same feelings like they had the same brain. I think those two were the same people from parallel Earths.  But they were having a war.

I liked the book because it was very interesting and different. Science Fiction is very different than what we read in school usually.

Zombie Monkey Monster Jamboree
By J.J. Hart & Will Meugniot

A Book Review by Estefany

I am going to tell you about this book. Skeeter is going camping with his group. Skeeter is the patrol leader. Kyle and Lane are the meanest boys. Hari studies rocks. Gas farts a lot. Sam, Josh, and Mustafa have many badges. The two main leaders were going to take a shortcut to get to camp before the kids. The kids got to camp and the two main leaders didn't show up. Meanwhile they set up the tents, except the two main leaders had the poles to make the tents stand up.

Josh touched poison ivy. Then, the whole group looks for water. When they were searching, Mustafa found a cabin. The cabin was very old. Kyle and Lane went into the cabin to check what was inside. They found a box that said "DO NOT OPEN." They didn't listen and opened the box. Inside the box was a golden monkey the size of a football and the eyes were like purple gemstones. Sam saw a note in the box. It said that they will be cursed if they opened it and Sam was worried.

That night, the curse began to happen. It began to rain and all the boys went inside their tents. Skeeter was in a tent with two other boys called Gas and Hari. They started talking about the curse. Then, they heard noises outside. Skeeter checked and nobody was outside. He also saw footprints. Skeeter called Sam. Sam said it looked like monkey prints, but it was weird.

Everybody went outside their tents and started looking. Then, an ape-like thing came close to Skeeter and Gas. He had dark, dull, dead eyes.  He started to attack Skeeter and Gas. Then Gas farted and the ape-thing went away. Everybody started laughing. Then they stopped laughing because Mustafa said the zombie monkeys were heading to Apache Wells. Apache Wells is a town. Everybody grabbed a stick or something else that could defeat the zombie monkeys, because they were going to follow the zombie monkeys to Apache Wells.

They were in Apache Wells and they spotted the first zombie monkey. The zombie monkey wanted to hurt them, but they didn't get hurt. Then the monkey escaped. It was already 12 in the morning and people were sound asleep. Then, many zombie monkeys started coming. The group started hitting the zombie monkeys with rocks. The zombie monkeys fell or just went away. Kyle was scratched on the chest and Skeeter got scratched on the cheek, but they were all right. Then the two leaders found them. The monkeys were defeated and there were no more, so they kept camping. They finally got to eat.

I loved this story because it was funny and scary at the same time. It was suspenseful, but also very fun to read.
